How to get ready for winter in Phoenix
Being 'winter' prepared in Phoenix AZ is a tough job! Growing up in Minnesota I remember how much work it was making sure the lake home was prepared for winter. The boats and dock had to be brought in to the boat house as well as all the patio furniture and sports equipment. And then there was the business of making sure we had 'emergency supplies' in the trunk of the car just in case we got stuck in a snow storm. Seemed liked there was a never ending list of 'things to do' to be ready for winter. Not so much here in Phoenix Arizona......
I'm happy to say my 'getting ready for winter' list in Phoenix is fun! We had a couple of months of hot weather and now the weather has cooled down and it's pleasant outside again. Yea! And let's not forget about those infamous Ha-boob's the Phoenix desert is know for - Man - Ha-boobs can make a mess out of our patios and furniture! Thankfully we didn't have to many Ha-boobs this summer so the clean up is pretty simple. Yea!
How to get ready for winter in Phoenix
- patio's and pool decks cleaned
- spa cleaned and prepared for use
- patio furniture cleaned
- umbrellas cleaned
- bright pillows placed on furniture
- over-seed lawn for winter grass
- landscapers called into to spruce up the yard
- put out some fall decorations
- sit back, relax and enjoy
I'm even happier to say that I was able to take part in some of the getting ready for winter activities, even with the big bad boot on! I had fun playing with the hose and spraying water all over the deck and chairs. And tonight I'm heading out after work to enjoy a nice glass of wine pool side and relaxing. Perfect! As you can see Barnie is already relaxing and waiting for us to join him!
