It was a long road. I was the listing Agent for an adorable couple. He was 95 and his cute wife 88~~ in Palmilla on the Green ~~a lovely 55+ golf course community located just off the 215 freeway and Newport in Menifee.
Another Agent had the listing for 6 months prior and it expired. The clients knowing my diligence called me and it was an instant connection with the sweet couple. We had the house on the market for only 30 days and got an offer. I thought...Wow...this is great! But we fell out of escrow because our buyer could not sell their house! Ouch!
So we put the house back on the market. We never gave up hope that we would find a buyer. I held Open Houses nearly every weekend, come rain or shine...even through football season while most people were watching the Green Bay Packers have a record year, I was sitting Open Houses just waiting for that perfect buyer to walk thru the door. But football season came and went and we still had no buyer in sight. During that time we never gave up and I can't even count the hours I sat talking with my clients getting to know them and their adorable ways.
Well, one day I was having an Open House at another of my listings in Palmilla and 2 familiar faces walked in. A lovely couple that I met over a year ago at one of my other Open Houses in the neighborhood. They walked in and said 'our landlord just raised the rent $250 a month!' My obvious question was...why rent when you can buy?
Well, it all came together like you wouldn't believe. The renters lived just 4 houses down the street from the 95 year old man and his 88 year old wife. I brought the 2 lovely couples together and we put the deal together...first time homeowners at the age of 68. It was great. I saw the other cute couple off so they could live closer to their daughter in LA. This is what selling Real Estate is all about! Changing lives and making a difference!
Palmilla on the Green is a 55+ golf course community with 4 floorplans. 2 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms plus dens. All have 2 bathrooms, 2 car garage, and garden patios. Homes are located walking distance to the Clubhouse with pool and spa. The Clubhouse has social activities on a regular basis. The community is located just walking distance from Target and Ralph's Shopping Center, Menifee Lakes which has a lagoon, paddle boats and walking trails.
