As the summer sizzle subsides, closed sales generally dip. September 2014 follows this trend, but it only posed a mere 10 percent decline from August in the single family homes sector versus a 15 percent decline the year before. It has also set itself apart from years past by holding the most closed sales in the same sector compared to any other September in over five years. There are indications that October will be an active month and has the potential for a significant amount of closed sales as well.
