Explore Manchester Vermont with Miss Feng Shui of New York City

We had the pleasure of visiting Vermont this fall. The timing to see peak season of changing leafs was missed just a bit, yet non the less, it was a great visit.

During the fast trip, we were able to taste some fresh home cooked turkey chilly, hike wonderful mountain ranges, enjoy fresh clean air, meet and greet with very friendly residents, taste delicious Vermont maple syrup and pancakes and traditional New England plates of food.

I wanted to also highlight the location we stayed at called The Equinox.

This location was a great choice for it offered the comforts of home and was located a minute away from town. This location also has a wealth of history dating back to the civil war and was also a stop for the Underground Rail Road. Behind the grounds was an easy to navigate hike trail which gave you options for easy, moderate, to hard paths to explore.

We choose to hike the Flanders loop which brought us to a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. As you hiked the path you also came across wonderful scenery of the forest and if you stood still for just a moment could see and hear chipmunks preparing for  winter.

If you arrive and really have no plans or some plans on what to do when in Vermont be sure to stop off at the concierge. We did that and had the pleasure of speaking with Astri. She was extremely helpful with all of our questions about what to explore and knowing the best places to eat in town.

For the last night there, Astri recommend the Ye Olde Tavern, which has amazing traditional pot roast.

Truly a wonderful time and a great destination locally to explore.

Hi Laura,

A trip to Vermont is always a nice experience. You've discussed some wonderful facts that I did not know. I would always stay in Vermont when traveling to Maine. However, I didn't know about the place you described. I could get lost in all of Vermont's beauty!

Hi Laura,  I think there are only 7 states I have not visited.  Vermont is one of those.  Your photos make me want to plan a visit there.
