Magazines vs. Inernet Advertising

By
Real Estate Agent with Long & Foster Realtors - Smith Mountain Lake
In a posted article article by NAR stating 84% of people begin their shopping online.  Well, I am yet to get a call from a magazine ad that I have done. In the last 6 months, either my Long & Foster signs or my internet postings have really brought the clients in.  For those of you have your own website and wonder what is the easiest way to syndicate your listings to the leading real estate web sites, consided getting your web site from alamode.com.  Once your listing is posted in your site, you can automatically have your listings posted to the top 10 real estate search ingines in a click of a button.  Go to alamode.com and give it a hard search and tell me what you think.  This site keeps up with your contacts and leads and it is like having a secretary in your back pocket.  My costomers/clients get an email card on every holiday so they know I am still think of them. It is the best tool I have found thus far.

I haven't advertised an a homes magazine or in the newspaper in years.  When going on listing appointments I always take along the latest NAR article about how many people start their home search online...sellers agree.  I do advertise EXTENSIVELY on the internet and via e-mail.

Thanks for the reply and I do the same.  I justed listed a lake/water access home last week and the clients thought that magazines were a waste of my money and I had a printed page from my website listing the real estate search engines that I syndicate to and they were impressed.  They did not interview the other REALTOR and signed the listing on the spot.  I am glad that sellers are getting more internet savy because it reduces the "show of listings" time required to make an offer and it is a great listing point.
