LOVE AND CLIENTS?

By

Is it a grey area as to the permissibility of dating a client? There is someone I have recently shown a house to and it appears that she will be buying it, and we really hit it off more so than the normal client. Being a new real-tor and a young one at that, I would love some feed back as to what the ethical thing to do would be. If anybody has any suggestions, please let me know! I'm wanting to take her on a date such as a dinner a movie or a picnic even, but I'm not here trying to ask for dating advice. I'm curious if there is any ethical objections regarding this and if so I want to make sure I don't step over the line. Thanks!

Wait until the deal is over and ask politely.  Sometimes people mistake kindness for interest, you wouldn't want the client to be uncomfortable if she is not interested in that way.  I don't think it is a technical ethics violation, but.....  ya never know

Thanks Laura! I wasn't sure as I said in the post if it was an ethics issue or not, but I don't want any possible conflict of interest. Thanks for the feedback.
