Selling to the next generation and beyond - If you are in this business for a long enough period, and I hope everyone that is currently practicing real estate is doing it for the long haul, not just because we are in a crazy hot market, although I do know better, if you have been around long enough you often get to not
only help clients move more than once, you might even get to help their children.
Today I took the daughter of a past client out to look at homes with her fiance'. I helped her parents move 13 years ago and then again a couple years ago they divorced and I helped them sell their home and buy smaller homes. It is really gratifying to know that work you have done over the years not only resonates with the next generation, but the parents trust you enough with their most prized possessions, to refer them to you.
I have watched this young lady grow up from a first grader, through college and now into adulthood and really look forward to helping her and her fiance with the next stage of their lives. I have been fortunate to have been passes around by several families, one family I helped mom and dad twice, one of their sons twice and a daughter move once, I love the family trees.
Very heartwarming occupation we have chosen!
