The 27th Annual Taste of Central Pennsylvania fundraiser for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank will be held tomorrow, Sunday, October 26, 2014, at the Atrium in Strawberry Square, Downtown Harrisburg. For this fundraiser, patrons sample signature menu items from nearly 50 area food and beverage vendors, enjoy live entertainment, and have the opportunity to participate in a raffle and silent auction.
The Taste of Central Pennsylvania has raised nearly $2.5 million over the past 27 years to support the Central PA Food Bank’s mission of fighting hunger by improving lives and strengthening communities. By participating in the Taste, patrons will help the Food Bank provide to more than 55,000 people in need every week.
Ticket holders will be provided with samples of the latest signature menu items from approximately 50 of the area’s top restaurants, caterers, wineries and breweries. The menu samples include everything from lunchtime soups and sandwiches to dinner entrees like chicken confit and roast duck, as well as desserts, snacks and beverages. While food and beverage events continue to grow in popularity, few of them are as family-friendly as the Taste of Central Pennsylvania. The Taste welcomes guests of all ages to enjoy the food & beverages, live entertainment and an opportunity to participate in a raffle and silent auction.
The “Taste” provides an opportunity for ticket holders to enjoy an afternoon of delicious food and beverages while benefiting the Central PA Food Bank’s mission to end hunger.
