There is another rocket launch planned from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station this coming Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 1:21pm.
If the launch is successful, this will be the second launch from the East Coast this week. The $245 million GPS IIF-8 spacecraft was attached to the Boeing Atlas V rocket this past week and will be rolled onto the launch pad on Tuesday. This mission will be the 8th of 12 satellites in the series.
The launch time is scheduled for 1:21 p.m., with an 18-minute launch window. You can watch the launch and all of the pre-launch "activites" on NASA TV starting at 1:00pm.
I have seen both day and night launches, and honestly, both are spectacular, it just NEVER gets old! Happy launch watching!
