New Sponsorship for Rajyotsava Day at Gale Ranch Middle School: Tri Valley Kannada Sangha (TVKS) is a non-profit organization for Kannadigas (the people of Karnataka) living in the Tri-valley areas of San Ramon, Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore and surrounding areas.

Kannada is one of the official languages of India. It is the mother tongue spoken in the state of Karnataka which is located in the southern part of India. Karnataka is renowned all over the world for its rich, ancient, artistic and cultural heritage. Karnataka’s state capital Bangalore is known globally as the Information Center of India comparable to our Silicon Valley.

Tri Valley Kannada’s mission is to provide a platform for Kannda speaking residents of the Tri-valley area. They preserve, showcase, and articulate, their culture, values, and customs of Karnataka to the world - particularly North America.

Kannada Rajyostava meaning Karnataka Formation Day is held on November 1st each year. It is in commemoration of  November 1st, 1956 when all Kannada language speaking regions of south India were merged together creating the state of Karnataka.

Kannada Rajyotsava Day is celebrated by Kannadiga’s all across the world. TVKS is celebrating Rajyotsava on the 15th of November, 2014 at Gale Ranch Middle School’s multi-purpose room in San Ramon. CA. They are expecting the crowd participation to have over 500 attendees. They will host exceptionally lively entertainment to make a memorable event!
