Another great reason to live in The Knolls, Centennial, CO - A couple weeks ago I wrote about the Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot and their drive to raise awareness about children in need of these important
articles of clothing. I live in The Knolls in Centennial, CO and was asked to help put together the First Annual Knolls Diaper Drive.
Although we had set a goal of 30,000 diapers and 1,000 wipes we were elated to have collected over 17,000 diapers and several hundred wipes and every single family that offered their home up as a collection point has generously offered to do this again next year. 17 families offered to open up their living rooms, garages, or wherever they had space to take in these boxes of diapers, HA! as I was typing this up I got a call from another neighbor that said she wanted to donate if it wasn't too late! It is never too late as this is a continuous need for families and the Rocky Mountain Diaper Depot is a year round non-profit that delivers every week of the year to those that can get the diapers into the right hands.
We have decided to make this a tradition in our neighborhood to keep the awareness alive and in front of people.
A special thanks to all the families that helped and especially, Bill & Joan Youmans and Ken & Judith Wilson, founders of this wonderful charity, and kudos to my wife and boys for helping out as well. You guys are awesome.
