When choosing a home, remember that you may want to resell it at some point! Design flaws will affect the resale value, especially if not suited for the climate in which the house is built.

Take a look at this home design, which might be better suited for a sunny location.

The home has a very narrow, dark entrance to the front door. A gutter full of leaves could become very drippy with frequent coastal Oregon rain.  The long dark walkway with a step in the middle is a tripping hazard. Moss and mold can easily collect there.  I think I might have put the front door where the window is.

It may take more than the badly needed fresh coat of paint to correct the entrance "Feng Shui" of this coastal Oregon home.
