Adding Light After Daylight Savings

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Home Tips for Women

This weekend is daylight savings, or really the end of daylight savings.

The good news is you get an extra hour of sleep Saturday night ... and my husband reminded me of the time our youngest asked where the extra hour comes from (or in our case the extra day when you cross the International date line).

The bad news is it will be dark when most of you get home at night, and that's not much fun. Sure you might have an automatic garage door opener, or a motion controlled flood light over the garage door (they're great) but what about guests?

We're also heading into the holiday season where we do more entertaining than any other time of year. That's when you realize your guests need some extra light to walk safely to your front door.

Here are tips on different ways to add lighting to your walkway, or really any part of your home's exterior where lighting makes sense for safety, and creating a comfy feeling.
