I think that speaks highly of the quality of people here in the Rain.  Most folks are so friendly and helpful that it feels like you already know them, even though you've never spoken directly to them.  

Active Rain is the BEST! I don't know of another professional networking site that is a friendly, and helpful as Active Rain.

It is a safe neighborhood where the kids can go out and play without risk....

Chris Griffith - you forgot that ActiveRain IS social media!

It's definitely relationship building on a deeper level as we communicate more here than on a platform such as Facebook. Facebook lends itself to trolls in groups who like to start fights and leave. This is a more unique niche for people to share ideas, experiences, ask questions; a much more safe and accepting environment.

I suggest that the agents I work with use this platform more as it's a nurturing not negative environment. With our own actions, we can ensure that we keep it as such.

As a fairly newcomer to AR, I have LOVED jumping on as often as possible to see what agents find humorous, outrageous, frustrating, sharing of how-tos, and the like in posts. Thank you to each of you in creating and feeding this social media platform into what it is. The gang of ActiveRain couldn't do it without you.

Hi Dagny, I have met wonderfully engaging, smart and witty people through Active Rain, and some I haven't met in person are still just as lovely I imagine. It takes a special breed, I suspect, to put it all out on the line like we do, and let's face it, we're in a weird profession unlike any other.

 Thanks for sharing your story, and I agree that the level of communication here goes quite a bit deeper than most other social sites.

Hello Dagny,  Active Rain is extremely unique, there is no doubt about it in my mind.  It is definitely like finding that special someone.  The chemistry is there and yet to try and pin point just what creates it, is difficult at best.  Mark

Oh, how I love this group!  I've made so many friends and connections here in the Rain that keep in touch outside of the Rain as well!  Kudos to you for reaching out to that member - you are a wonderful ambassador here, Dagny!
