There are days when I stuggle to find an appropriate subject to blog about and I try to find some interesting point of law or legal topic that I can write about. At times it seems impossible to come up with a blog as I am not much of a story teller, but I have for years been a technical writer, drafting contracts and legal documents of all sorts. I often times wish I had the gift that Joe Petrowsky has to come up with pearls of wisdom or a joke that I could blog about.
Just yesterday, he wrote a blog about his daughter's birthday and did it well and with a special touch that few people have. If I were to write a blog about my daughter's birthday, I would first need to pry her hands from around my neck. She would not tolerate that in the least. She is a most private person, which I believe that she probably inherited from both her mother and I.
My sons are also somewhat private, and provide little to blog about. My older son does provide some material to write about. For example, he was recently named as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyer magazine, and last year he was named as a future leader of the law by the Connecticut Law Tribune. He has worked on some mega real estate deals, but those would not be appropriate to blog about due to issues of confidentiality and legal stuff like that. Needless to say, we are quite proud of him, as we are proud of all our children as they have achievments in their lives that stand out from others.
My younger son lives in Atlanta and is the least talkative person I know so it is difficult to get enough information from him to use for a blog. So I am left to myself to come up with blog topics without running the risk of being asked to leave the Rain.
I am going to do my best to write a blog a day so that I can earn the extra 3000 points and not bore you folks to death. You may be asking, BTW, why I have not mentioned my wife as she really is most supportive of my efforts, but like my daughter, she is a most private person and I don't like sleeping in the basement.
So let the battle begin and I will do my best not to kill you with boring blogs!
