What is APBA Baseball ? It was originally a Table Top baseball game that distinguished itself from
other baseball games by it's statistical accuracy . Players often start their APBA experience with individual
solitaire play. But eventually they become aware that there are hundreds of players throughout their state
and community. Many of these players have banded together to participate in APBA leagues. Today the
majority of these leagues are played solely on computers and have league websites .
The league I've participated in since 1972 is called the ABA . It's web address is (select guest )
http://abacommish.brinkster.net . It is a keeper league and all trades made by managers will affect
future seasons. Our season runs between April thru November. Updated stats and series summaries
appear on the website. We have an annual Rookie Bidding Day in Dec. and a Convention with average
attendance of 12 -14 in early March. In all, there are 24 teams/managers from all over the US . This
upcoming season 2015, we have 2 openings ! To participate in an APBA League you would basically
need to have the same baseball knowledge found in your basic Fantasy leagues . If this post has
has peaked your interest , please contact Jerry Valenti at abacommish@aol.com . Hoping you can
join us for our 2015 season !
