People have been talking about their neighbors for years.
Now there's a website to do it for you.
Ziptapestry offers up a simple concept: Type in a zip code and it will breakdown the makeup of your expanded neighborhood. Turns out I live near a bunch of "Savvy Suburbanites". And... one in ten have "professional pride".
I know, I Know... I KNOW. It's all a bit simplistic but hey, it's just a snapshot. Part fun, part silly, part creepy even. It's a site bound to catch on for those very reasons.
Aside from the labels the site applies to you and your neighbors, you'll find a breakdown of the income, age and population data of the zip code. Of course, some zip codes are larger than others and every zip code has a range of neighborhoods which defy description. Still, this tool is not without merit.
What do you think of this site? I'd love to hear what you have to say.
