Sunday afternoon in the Fall. I love it. It really is the best time of year in Middle Tennessee. Humidity is low, temperatures are moderate, and football is in full gear!
I love the trees changing colors.
This is a picture from part of the five acres we live on. The maple tree is/was a bright golden color with some orange highlights. It was quite beautiful next to the bright blue sky.
What's not beautiful is what happened last night. Yesterday it was magnificent! If you look underneath the tree you'll see piles of leaves that decided to fall all at once. I don't know if it was the wind or the sub-freezing temperatures last night, but the tree just let go of the majority of its leaves. Overnight! By tomorrow they'll probably blow into all of our shrubs and flowers!
As I said, I love the Fall...I just don't like the raking, the mulching and the clean-up!
