It's been a very long time since I consistently posted my God First posts. Honestly, it's a true reflection of how my business and personal life have been: INCONSISTENCY with almost everything.
Business is great but running around feeling like I'm constantly scurrying around has taken the toll on me. I went into major freak-out mode in mid-October. Since then, I have established some action items to reclaim my life back. I've been feeling good for about 2 weeks now. I hope I can keep this up consistently now, moving forward.
One thing I definitely missed has been my God First posts. I was very consistent for 6 years. Every Sunday, I wrote about my God First posts, and pray through that topic and scripture through the week. Oh, how I missed that!
Many things have gone scurrying all over the place this year (2014). Business went up 50% from last year by adding 2 people on my team. With not much strong system in place to handle the volume, it has been quite a disaster. So, as I'm beginnng to come back down to earth, praying through planning for 2015, I feel strongly that the Holy Spirit is nudging me about a big action item for 2015:
Relentless Follow Up! (And I'm still praying and growing through this!)
Every year, with the Holy Spirit guiding, I reflect on a Scripture. There wasn't a nudge for 2014 so I kept 2013's scripture: John 5:17 - My Father keeps working and so will I.
For 2015, the guiding 3:16 principle scripture is,
1 Corinthians 3:5 - 9
After all, who is Apollos and Paul? Only servants as the Lord has assigned each of us His task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it but God made it grow. So neither he who plants or waters is anything but only God makes things grow. The man who plans and the man who waters only has one purpose and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers, you are God's field and God's building.
How appropriate from the previous years' scriptures, and right into this. I will plough my field daily and God will make it grow into whatever He wants with the business. The people He sends, the transactions I will and won't complete. It's all in His Hands. Ultimately God is responsible for the growth.
Back in 2006, in the rural mountain villages in Kenya, God told me clearly that my mission field is in Frisco Texas.
"Be sure to carry out the ministry God gave you" (Colossians 4:17) so that when my time is up, I could say, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished my race and I have remained faithful" (2 Timothy 4:7).
There you have it. Until next time - Make a great life out of your soul!
