This Door Is Always The Worst One.

This Door Is Always The Worst One.

I'm sure it has something to do with the exterior gaage door not being used as much as the other doors. The door is out of sight so there is not the same need to keep it looking as good as the other doors on the house. The doors can be exposed to some extreme weather too!

It is no wonder that the exterior garage door is the worst looking door in the house.

I remember one of the last houses we sold, we had to have the door replaced as it was coming apart at the bottom. No water there but a lot of sun shining on it for 14 yrs. Happy Veteran's Day Tom.

Good  morning Tom. You're right seen it many times, but never sure why that particular door is let go so often.

Good morning Tom. Those old wooden veneer exterior doors never do seem to hold up well in any location.

Good morning, Tom....if that door had been an "exterior metal door" it would hold up.... that's an interior door....

Good morning Tom.  I have a similar door into my garage. I need to replace it soon! It looks as bad as your picture!

Thank you for the post. I have seen such doors and wonder why the owners did not fix it before listing the house.

Installing the right door and preparing it properly will help in keeping a door longer. Or course a regular maintenance plan goes a long way!

I thought you were going to say it was the crawl space door. Though many areas don't have them, it is the one most overlooked here.

Tom, That door looks so familiar ;) Often those doors have a ton of stuff piled in front of them in the garage.

Tom, I had a listing and the door looked worse than the one in your photo. Yes, it was indeed replaced.

Yes, it looks like the weather has quite an effect on the condition of that door!

That is a laminted, indoor door used for an outdoor application.  It doesn't have a chance.
