Winter Season Northshore Maui

By
Real Estate Agent with Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers R(S)54097

Winter season is upon us, with the first Hugh surf arriving.  Watching the evening news in Hawaii, they were reporting 20 ft surf tomorrow.  Waves have have been building, hopefully I can get a surf session in before it gets to big in the morning.  I live on the northshore of Maui, places like Hookipa Beach Park will hold surf up to 10 ft waves.  We will be looking for the first waves at Jaws with surf looking like it will be over 30 ft.

Maui northshore

When the waves are big, you have to watch your step, it can be dangerous.  Last season I shot some video at Jaws, I hope you enjoy it.

If you're looking at buying a home on Maui's northshore, you will find homes in Spreckelsville in the Paia area.  There are a number of Maui oceanfront homes currently on the market in Kuau offering quality oceanfront homes.  Heading out pass Hookipa Beach Park, you arrive in Haiku Maui.  Haiku offers the tropical setting you think you would find in an island setting in Hawaii. For more information on homes for sale in Maui's northshore give me a call.  You can also sign up to receive email updates on all new homes for sale in Maui.

Aloha and be safe this winter,

Impressive pictures as always, Steve!  I've been watching the Polar Vortex that is going to hit so many of our states.  I forgot to see how Hawaii will fare with it.

Steven, I spent a couple of weeks there a few years ago, and for a couple of days the waves were crazy huge - and full of crazy people on surf boards!

Patricia, waves are 30 ft today at Jaws, to much on my plate, should be there taking photos. It's a perfect day in paradise.

It sure feels like winter now doesn't it? So cold and wet, haha. We have a rough life here on Maui.

Georgie,

A little chill in the air and rain, not bad.

Aloha Steven,

Great footage, however, it really is much more impressive in person. I don't know if it's the perspective or what but the 30 footers at Jaws seems larger than the 30 footers on the North Shore here on O'ahu.

a hui hou,

Kimo, Jaws is a heavy wave, then again 30 ft anywhere is heavy.  I do love the North Shore of Oahu, I been watching the triple crown.
