I have a fantastic new equestrian listing coming active in the next couple of weeks. It's located in what we call our high desert, which includes Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Joshua Tree as well as several other cities. Average daytime temps are approximately 15 degrees cooler year round and snow is not unusual in the winters...though lightly!
This is a very unique property. Located off of Black Rock Canyon in Yucca Valley, it is zoned for horses, and is made up of approximately 15 acres. A pueblo style home of approximately 4000 ft.², is two-story and elevated for spectacular panoramic views. The current guest home is an actual train caboose!
For horse owners, the location could not be better. You can ride your horse out the gates, turn right and and in approximately 300 yards, be at the entrance to the Black Rock Canyon horse camp. A wide variety of trails are available to explore on horseback, as well as overnight camping sites for trailers & horses.
Yucca Valley is a city of approximately 30,000 people, lots of antique stores, and right next door to the Joshua Tree national Park. It's about a half hour drive from Palm Springs, and approximately an hour and a half from Los Angeles.
Yucca Valley has really caught on amongst artists, creative architects, and wilderness lovers. The high desert is booming, with affordable housing, relatively inexpensive acreage for sale, and several multi-million dollar residences that have sold in 2014.
