I started in Activerain back in the Summer of 2007. Started slow, then blogged a lot in spurts here and there. Some months I blogged nearly 1 article every day. Other months just 2 or 3 posts for the entire month. But the main thing is consistency.
It is important to never stop blogging if you want to get the online traffic. Anymore I can see about 40% of all my business coming from online leads. That number is not just from this blog, but it is also from multiple other websites and social media. My biggest thing is providing decent consistent content and just plain old being visible. After 7 years of doing this, there are literally 1000's of pages out there generating SEO for my business every day. It is not always the fastest runner that wins the race, but the person that stays in it and keeps going.
I cannot think of a better day to celebrate hitting 700,000 points on Activerain than Veterans Day. It is a day of freedom and honoring the people that help keep this country free. Thank you to all the vets for your service and keeping America the land of opportunity that it still is.
