This photo was taken in Normandy in June of 1944. It is my Grandfather, with a big smile on his face. He has just received telegram notice of the birth of his son, my father. So excited, he is holding up the "length" of the baby, my dad. I cannot express how much I love this photo.
Today is Veterans Day, a day for us to thank those who have served in our armed forces. Thank you to all the men and women who live and work in some of the most challenging of situations in our world. Your dedication to our protection and the safety of others is remarkable. Thank you.
