Florida is now 2nd in all of Foreclosures, guess who is No.1

Realty Trac has announced that Maryland has now taken the top stop from Florida as the Foreclosure Capital of all states. Here in Florida, we now rank 2nd in the nation with an astounding 1 in 4 properties under water. Florida has held this position since September 2013.

This drop was brought about by a 2% overall decrease and a 25% decrease from last October.

For this study S. Florida consists of Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.

That is amazing news!  I am originally from Maryland and surprised to hear with it being so close to DC, jobs, etc.  We do have some nice foreclosures to choose from here in SWFL too!

It is sad that anyone has to go through foreclosure, but it happens. It is good for fortunate for others and a way to make some money.

Oh, wow.  So we in Florida can't chant "We're number one!" anymore.  Okay, I guess that is a good thing, LOL.

Good morning Winston,

I have to admit I'm shocked like Barbara is that Maryland is #1 in foreclosures. I can understand Florida but not Maryland! I'm sure there have been investors making purchases in Florida I wonder if they will make their way to Maryland now?
