I'm a Board Member, now what?

I have to say that I have never been a board member of anything before, I even disclosed that on my application.  But just this week, Oregon Horse Country announced their 3 new Board Members, and I am one of them!

I am extremely excited, for 2 reasons. Of course the obvious, to support and serve my local horse industry.Oregon Horse Country But the second reason is a little more self serving.  I have a feeling there will be a little public speaking involved, which I loathe.  So, this will force me to step outside my comfort zone and grow some more!

Oregon Horse Country is like a chamber of commerce for our local equine industry.  They promote their members businesses, put on education events, networking events and participate with volunteer opportunities.  I can not tell you how excited I am to contribute to this organization!  While I have been a member for 2 years, serving on the Board will allow me to give back.  Wish me luck!
