There isn't much vacant land here in the dc metro area although I do know of 2  acres in Potomac for about $600,000

SVB, I wish I had some really good advice for you but i do not. There is a lot of land in Texas west of Austin and outside San Antonio. Some day maybe valuable but who knows. Land is very difficult to judge and value. Pictures are amazing as Endre Barath, Jr. stated above.
