One of my favorite neighborhoods in Chandler is Thunderbird Estates. This neighborhood is located from the north-east corner of Ray Road and Hartford to the south-west corner of Knox Road and Nebraska Street.
What I like most about this neighborhood is the individualized, unique and interesting style of homes. Every home you pass is different and full of personality. Almost every front view in the neighborhood is well manicured and visually appealing. The houses all stand tall with individualized confidence. Every home you see calls out for you to want to take a further look. There is no HOA in this neighborhood, however, there is an obvious community pride of ownership.
Because most of these homes were built custom throughout the years, you will find homes here that were built between 1969 to 1977 on average and range from approximately 1400 square feet up to 3700 square feet.
Some newer homes are scattered throughout the neighborhood that were built in the mid 1990s as well.
Some homes have three car garages and at least one is a split level with partial underground half basement.
My favorite home in the neighborhood, which I have admired for years is shown here. This white brick, almost castle-like style with interesting trees outside has always caught my eye. Above the garage area is a full upstairs patio as well.
Homes for sale in this neighborhood right now are ranging from $165K to $230K. Most have lot sizes in the 7,501 to 10,000 range with some lots up to 18,000 square feet.
