Tuesday Travelogue-November 18th

By
Real Estate Agent with John L Scott Market Center 700512026

Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our twentieth  week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:

" to enjoy the ride"

"take a trip without even leaving the farm"

"expand your horizons"

"see through someone else's eyes"

 and hopefully much more!

(Be sure and click on the links in blue.)

In our alphabetical trips across America, "C" is the letter this week. Let's "C" what I can find. California....I could spend months on this state...Some of the treasures I discover are hidden. This one was.

greystone mention

Inna Ivchenko wrote about Greystone Mansion in her piece, Discover California, Day 1. This is exactly the kind of travelogue piece I love!

Here's a different kind of California...or maybe not. Sharon Paxson shows us Newport Beach, but not how you would think of it.... like her beautiful sunset photos, nope, I decided to go a different direction...just to show the diversity! Blackie's Classic Surf n Fun!

I loved this title while perusing Palm Springs: "Try on the Celebrity Life in Palm Springs".

This was a real find and Mary MacGregor dishes over some of these fabulous celebrities' homes that you can "live in", temporarily--what fun! (Give your spouse or lover a night to remember, but bring your credit card...and maybe your first born...) This was Elvis's Honeymoon Hideaway....

Winter in California....really? Do we ever think about that? Not me! Well, this sweet post gives us a bit of a different mindset about what winter in Southern California is like....Pamela Seley's favorite time of year and a nice new way to look at the Temecula Valley.

Please don't forget to comment on these blogposts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:

Oh Gayle, I love this series and the opportunity to virtually travel with you.  I would love to go to Palm Springs, and see these incredible homes.  I love California, particularly the north!  Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful peeks.

Hi Gayle - Great picks this week. Elvis's honeymoon hideaway, eh? The mind boggles - I doubt I could do that justice

Gayle,

Great selections this week, and I am glad our state is featured.  We are starting to have colder nights here, and I just might get to wear a sweater soon.  Joanna Cohlan  living in Northern California can be very cold, and we had winter mornings below zero with frost on our deck.  LOL A

California is a beautiful state, truly you can find anything and everything here...which is why I pay the taxes I pay and put up with the crazies in office. :)

Hi Gayle, I'll be taking a trip via your post later this week. Two days of classes coming up and I'm trying to fit extra "to do's" into the day. Hard to believe this is the 20th week already. Wow.

Good evening Gayle. There are a lot of places on my bucket list that I want to visit before I leave this plane of existence. There is a lot to be said about folks living longer and wanting to accomplish more.

Norma, if you don't have "real time", then at least you can travel the internet waves for some fun!

Joanna Cohlan I love having you along on my travels! I LOVE Palm Springs and Palm Desert. Would go back there in a heartbeat.

Gary Woltal you definitely don't strike me as the Hollywood type!

OH, Dick Greenberg how you make me laugh!!

Ron & Alexandra Seigel there is SO much to CA, that I'm probably going to have to travel there virtually for awhile, before heading to the other "C" states...or at least combine them!

Karen Fiddler, Broker/Realtor , you might be right about that! If you have any special travel posts that I need to know about, e-mail them to me! Also, next Sept. my hubby, dogs and I are heading for the Redwoods, can't wait!!

Debb Janes sounds like the virtual traveling will be a nice "getaway" from classes. Are you doing you CEUs?

Brian England your enthusiasm is infectious!

Michael Thornton I have a pact with the "Big Guy" that I need to see Europe, Australia, many parts of America and even throw in Costa Rica before I meet HIM. Hope that you've made a similar pact!

Gayle-I enjoy virtual travel or real life travel. I will have to settle for virtual for a short while though. The toe will keep me virtually virtual for a while.  California will be a state that has a lot to see.
