Next week it will be Thanksgiving - a day to give thanks for all that we have.  Another way to be thankful is to share our bounty with others.  So, please consider donating to the Canton Food Pantry - or the food pantry of your choice if you live outside of the Canton MA area.

The Canton MA Food Pantry provides an invaluable service to many members of our community who are struggling. They rely on the donations and support from the Canton community. Luckily, the citizens of Canton always come through - as they do anytime they are asked for help.

thanksgiving pieThis month's focus is on Thanksgiving. The Canton Food Pantry puts together Thanksgiving meals for approximately 175 clients. As in past years, they are seeking donations of store-bought pies. Note, they cannot accept homemade pies.

Just think how many pies they would get if every family in Canton that had the ability donated one or two pies? Let's help them meet that goal!

Pie Donations may be dropped off on Friday November 21st between 3 pm - 4 pm or on Saturday November 22nd between 8 am - 9 am at the Canton High Cafeteria.

In addition, regular donations are needed this month, as they are needed every month throughout the year.

For regular donations this month, the Canton Food Pantry is seeking the following:

I came across this article about what food banks need and do not need that I found helpful. I hope readers do too.
