Sarah, that picture is incredible!  They said that some parts around Buffalo, NY had SIX feet of snow in a 24 hour period!  Incredible.  California does have its advantages!!!

Good morning, Sarah -- I also have read of and seen some of the images in Buffalo and in other parts of the country this week and while no place is perfect -- I'm particularly glad to be in sunny California these days.   Have a great Wednesday.

Good Morning Bruce,

Yes, I been thinking about what residents of Buffalo are going thru this morning. Hope and pray that everyone is safe and warm.  I wouldn't want to trade places with them. I lived in Boston for 3 years and that was all I could handle.

Michael,

I am with you. California is not perfect, but it sure has its advantages during Winter season. I believe our whole nation is in for a hard and tumultuous winter.

Could this be in a basement apt., and walk-down??  Not that it matters, but snow would accumulate faster, just like the leaves that pile up on my door-step, which is no comparison!  Great, too-early-in-the-fall-for-snow pic!!

Ron & Alexandra,

I also love California. I have lived in NW, NE and South, but I always seem to come back to Southern California. Perhaps, it is because I have allergic reaction to cold and rain.

Carla,

Buffalo, NY had 4 feet of snow yesterday and they are expecting an additional 22 inches today. It is too bbbbbrrrrr cold for me. Hope New Yorkers remembered to fill their heating oil last weekend.

Sarah, how lucky are we?  If we ever want to see snow we can drive to it, and then drive back to the sunshine!  I don't miss the northeast at all this time of year.

John,

That is absolutely right!!! If we want the snow, we just need to drive 45 minutes to the mountains.  We are blessed.
