Spellbinding Chalk Pavement Art Created Before Your Eyes

This year's Chalk Festival was another successful event although Monday evening drenching rains brought  it to a soggy end.  About 50,000 attended the first year the festival was relocated from downtown Sarasota to Venice.  Denise Kowal who organizes the event each year brought in  more than 150 chalk artists from around the world.  The Chalk Festival took place at three venues around town.  Miami Avenue, the parking lot of the Venice Community Center and an abandoned runway at the Venice Airport where a 3D installation of of pavement art was entered for the Guinness Book of World Records.
