Why Do People Live here?

Echo Lake is the hub of a great deal of variety and convenience at the north end of Shoreline.  Cozy family neighborhoods are very close to shopping, parks, recreation, schools and both I-5 and Aurora - for quick access to neighboring Seattle just south, or to points north.  The Interurban Trail runs right through Echo Lake Neighborhood - for safe exercise, recreation, bike commuting or errands.  It extends South through Shoreline to Seattle, and north all the way through Lynnwood to Everett.  Shoreline repeatedly shows up over the years as a "Best Place to Live" by reviewers such as CNN, Seattle Magazine, Seattle Met and The Seattle Times.  A small town for families with an outstanding school district and recreation program, a well-run city, and a friendly community, all just an arms-length away from the many attractions of Seattle.

What's the Neighborhood Like?Echo Lake Neighborhood, Shoreline WA

The homes you would expect to find for sale in the Echo Lake Neighborhood of Shoreline, Washington are generally going to range between 1,000 and 2,500 square feet. Most of the homes were originally built in the 1950s through the 80s.

More recently, builders have been replacing older, smaller homes with modern, more spacious homes, with small pockets of tasteful new construction in the neighborhood.  Many other homes have had updates and it's not uncommon to find homes that have new second stories, adding to the square footage of some of the more traditional homes.

The smallest homes in the neighborhood start with 2 bedrooms while the larger floor plans have a 4 or even 5 bedroom layout.  Most of the lots range in size from 6,000 square feet to over 10,000 square feet, so there is plenty of room for people to get out and enjoy the mild Pacific Northwest weather.  [Right click the map to open in a new window for more detail.]
