Noted film and stage director Mike Nichols died Wednesday. He was 83.
Mike is one of the few directors whose credits include winning an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony and a Grammy. Mike collaborated extensively with Elaine May in satiric comedy skits going back to the Jack Paar show. He will be remembered as a film director for The Graduate, The Birdcage, The Working Girl, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Primary Colors, Charlie Wilson's War and many others.
His talent spanned more than a half century of American Life - which will be diminished by his loss.
He was married to Diane Sawyer from 1988 until his passing.
He will be missed.
