My First Blog…(GULP!!!)

Well, it’s finally happened. There have been so many false starts (Actually no starts at all. These are the first words I’ve ever written for a blog!)

…figuring out the best platform, researching, setting up my profile (twice), thinking about topics, SEO keywords…thinking….thinking…THINKING! But no doing…

Until today.

Everyone assumes I’d be perfect to write a blog. I’ve got something to say about almost everything and you might say I’m a little obsessed with social media. That’s a lie. Ok, I admit it. I’m addicted to Facebook. So isn’t a blog kind of like a super long status update? I can do that!

I’m looking forward to learning more about this process. Who has some words of advice for me?

Like many have said, don't get analysis paralysis. It's easy to do, trying to perfect everything. But, just start writing. Doing something is better than nothing. Eventually you'll find your voice, you'll get better at SEO, and you'll hone in on your niche. Until then, the best words of advice I can give are to set aside time every day (first thing in the morning works best for me) where you devote at least an hour or two to blogging/prospecting. This keeps the leads coming in. Without those, we're sunk!
