A Great Start for the ActiveRain Q&A Site

By
Real Estate Technology with ActiveRain

Thank you to everyone who helped to test out our new Q&A site yesterday.  This blog has some of the interesting questions we came across as our team closely monitored the new release.

We finished the day with 80 questions and 240 answers, which in my opinion is a great ratio!

Most Answered

These two questions from Chad Hyams and Lori Ballen received the most answers from our community.

How do you start your day

Looking for Advice

We've had a number of interesting questions from people who are looking for direct input from their fellow Rainers. Here are some questions from Tammy Adams and Diana Dahlberg

We appreciate all of the support yesterday!  Right now we're hard at work fixing the bugs that got reported yesterday and on our plan to get questions integrated into the Home Page and Daily Drop in December.

In the meantime, keep on asking, answering, and building something special.  If you're short on time, we made it easy for you to find interesting questions from your phone just by clicking on the menu icon.  Have fun!

If I understand correctly we get points for asking AND answering questions. Is the a word limit that we need to reach for either? Also, is there a limit for how many of each we can ask/respond to in a day/week?

I just answered the question that Chad asked and I didn't get any points.

Donna Foerster , we are working right now to fix that issue with points not being awarded.  It is 25 points per answer at this point.

Thanks Kris. Are there any limits (see my question above) for this new feature?

Kris Neese - it seems Q&A section working perfectly fine. And I should post some question soon. (I don't expect 80 responses, though, like Chad Hyams ...)

So, if you answer the question~ you get points, and if you ask the question~ do you get any points as well?

The roll out saw some spam pop up in the first 5 questions but i have to say i was happy it was deleted fairly quickly and other spam kept out. Trulias Q and A which used to be the top of the industry has been branded a joke for lack of them removing spam. I like having this new q and A section to read and answer questions to those who need help.

The problem/solution dynamics here are good. Reminds me of NASA and how they used problem/solution to reach the moon and then the stars...Keep up the good work

I just posted a blog that would have been great to post in the Q&A forum.  I will need to go back and see if I can edit it to include it.

That's a good amount of support.  That feature is a useful tool, so it's good to see it being utilized.
