Another New Construction Brookside Home---SOLD!
Brookside in Warrenton is an up and coming community, developed around three lakes. There are four builders with which a buyer can choose to build: Ryan Homes, Brookfield Homes, MI Homes and Lakeside 
Builders. I am familiar with Brookfield Homes because I bought my own new construction home from them, and investigated their options and MI Homes' options with other buyers. The previous two Brookside buyers chose to build with Ryan Homes.
These particular Buyers found their dream home with Lakeside Builders. When I tell you the process with Lakeside Builders is entirely different than dealing with the other three builders in Brookside, I'm not joking. It is about as close to a totally custom home as you can get. You pick one of two or three floor plans and then the options, like cabinets, are WIDELY diverse. And when you want granite counters, you don't have six or nine patterns to choose from. Literally, you can choose ANY kind of granite you can find. Of course, there is a cost associated with that level of customization.
One thing that Lakeside Builders do, which I wish all builders did, was solid wood shelving in the pantry, coat closet and master bedroom closets. None of that wire mesh shelving that items routinely fall through.
My Buyers got a beautifully appointed Ashby model home, with four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, hardwood floors, granite counters, upgraded cabinets and best of all, a lake view from the entire back of the home. If you are in the family room, sun room or master suite, your soul is instantly soothed by those lake views.
The contract to build this home was written on May 23, 2014. Today, November 20, 2014, just under six months later, my Buyers are ecstatic to finally have their dream home on Lake Ashby.
