Today, I looked up into the heavens and said... Yes, there is a God!
With little time to spare, but plenty of fret to waste, we held our breath as I presented our 5th written offer for my clients. For a moment, I felt like Moses pleading with God... Please don't let my people be homeless!
With just three days left before my clients had to move out of their home, and three rejected offers under our belt, things were not looking good. Panic started to set in. So, I did what any good Realtor would do... I started to pray (in the shower... LOL).
God... we need a newer 4 bedroom home, on a large lot, that's move-in ready. And oh, it must be vacant, and the owner must be willing to allow early occupancy so my clients can move in asap. Is that too much to ask... God?
The next day, a house appeared on MLS that fit my clients criteria perfectly! We made the offer and the Seller countered. Ugh, I thought... here we go again. But wait...
The only condition the Seller specified was she wanted the first cutting and harvest of walnuts from a very special walnut tree in the backyard. Turns out, it's the only red walnut tree of its kind in the entire state of Oregon. Not to mention, the walnuts sell for approximately $8.00 per ounce.
God + Walnuts = A Righteous Nutty Deal
