Don't Ever Lose Faith

The real estate business is not for the faint of heart. There will be great highs, as well as great lows. Some days you will feel as if you are on top of the world and the next day the carpet is pulled out. Then the next day you get up and it is like it never happened. You have to have faith.

You will get offers, then they will blow up and then you will save them. You have to have faith.

You will make offers, get rejected on 3-4 of them and just when you folks want to quit, the perfect home comes along. One thing I've learned is, the perfect home will find them when it is meant to. You have to have faith.

My original question was what advice would I give to new agents? Personally, I would say this...

If your passion is not in working hard for 6 months with no money and only a dream, vision, and goal as to what you will be building. Then run now. As I mentioned, this business is not for quiters. You will have a very tough go in the begining. It will take months to get that first sale. More months to get paid. You will need to get up day after day and plug away at that vision you have. You will need to have faith.

I promise, if you keep going, keep plugging, keep tweaking, keep learning, keep studying, keep pushing...You will succeed. You will start that snowball and it will grow. You will be successful. You have to have faith.

But if you are a quitter, just quit now and go find a job / career that pays every two weeks. Go find something that is safe. But if you want to help folks, you want the thrill of the ride, the opportunity to do very well financially and give yourself a raise anytime you want...then this is for you. And it can be a blast!  You have to have faith!

Just be a fighter. Just be someone that never gives up. Just be someone that craves knowledge and will do what it takes to get good at what you do. Just go kick some buttt and make a lot of folks happy!!

Never forget to have Faith! You will succeed!

Hi, Tammy...I'm glad you told it like it is. I've never seen a good real estate market. I started in mid summer in 2007. My market is doing better, but it's not a great one by any means.

Debbie Laity - I see so many folks walk around saying how bad everything is and I'm running around like a chicken. I think it is has to do with what we tell ourselved a lot of times.

Tammy Lankford - that is a good one. We fall quite a bit, so best to fall forward. LOL

Tammy~ To survive and succeed in this business you have to be prepared and you have to be a planner. It's not a traditional 8-5, Monday through Friday job. You must believe in yourself and have FAITH!
