Gratitude from the real estate industry?

Yes, my gratitude is from the real estate industry itself.  I have thought about this topic all month, but I was thinking too small.  I was searching my memory bank for an event, or a person, that helped define gratitude for me. I could not identify any one thing.

Then, today, it dawned on me.  The industry itself has created gratitude for me! This industry allows us to grow, personally and professionally, without limits.

I have evaluated what I have learned throughout my career.  The list is long, probably longer than I realize.   I would encourage you to do the same.  Think about the many things you have learned from your experiences and from your education in this career.  Now take all those things away as if you had never been in real estate!  Totally different person, right?

So, how will I ( and you ) use this epiphany of revelation in the future?  For me, I will embrace each experience as a learning opportunity.  If it's one thing we can count on in this business, it is always changing.  Who knows what  will glean from the next challenge, the next hurdle, the next seminar that will take my business to new heights, provide me with a personal growth opportunity or provide me with tools for the next obstacle around the corner.  This is my gratitude!

Catherine, looking at each experience as a learning opportunity is a great approach. After all, every real estate transaction is different in some way, and there is so much to learn.

Wow Catherine, I never really looked at my career that way. Of course, I've learned lots, but I never really considered how it's changed who I am.

Thank you Catherine. Good subject for this holiday week. I'm grateful there is an equestrian expert close like you. Many homeowners in Lake Oswego and nearby in Wilsonville have horses, goats, cows in Beaverton and Lamas in West Linn. Our daughter has a horse boarded out at Crescendo Farms. We used to be at Lake Oswego's HUNT CLUB.

Hi Brian Olsen: Lake Oswego Real Estate !  Nice to meet you.  Contrary to my office name/license lcoation,  I do not work in Portland, I actually live and work out of my home outside of Salem.  So, I don't know Lake Oswego at all!    But, I do know where the Hunt Club is!
