Do you use Real Estate thank you cards?

I was wondering if you send out thank you cards or welcome cards (to their new home) to your customers? If you do send out thank you cards, do you send them out to your customers once they've moved into their new home or do you simply mail out a batch of thank you cards once a year at some particular time of the year (Thanksgiving or ?) to thank them for their business? Is not not common practice to send Real Estate thank you cards and welcome cards to customers for the purpose of staying in touch or remdinding prospects that are you there if they have any questions? I could see others using a thank you are welcome card to send to a client who's home you just closed on, maybe one of their friends or family members will notice the card in their home and ask about you?  My parents were real estate investors so thank you cards were not applicable. Your input and sharing of your experience is greatly appreciated in advance.

I use Thank you cards more often. Such as a way to reconnect with walk ins to my open house, or Thank you for thinking of me on referrals, or thank you for speaking with me on the phone...etc.

     Welcome to ActiveRain, Mark!

I have sent welcome cards, thank you cards, etc. over the years, but not lately.  I should - because the "personal touch" goes a long way!

Mark, I have not sent too many welcome or thank you cards in the past, but I think I should start. They both sound like great ideas, and everyone still loves the personal touch, even in this age of social media.
