Yes I'm new !

By
Real Estate Agent with Remax OCE

The title should explain it, yes I'm a new Agent and where do I begin. There are too many things to think about, what classes should i take, Crs ,Gri E pro am i running out of letters ?

Who do i hit up for my first Clients ? Relatives, my current coworkers if i am still working in another line of work and starting out in Real Estate part time. Depite what all of my friends and coworkers may think, Real Estate does take work and unfortunately it is not as easy as the general public thinks to get rich.

I am working at it very hard, it is a timely process, but it is worth the effort !

I will continue to update my progress in my Learning the business experience.

Real estate should be a lifelong learning experience.  Never stop.

Since you are just now beginning, see if there is anyone in your office who has business they are not able to get too.  Make yourself available to help.  Many veteran agents are willing to mentor, especially to newbees who are willing to work and express gratitude when helped.

Real estate is a relationship business.

It's always been my position that listings are something you need lots of so my suggestion would be do activities that put you in front of people that want to sell their home.

For Sale By Owners are a great source of listings because the majority can't sell on their own and end up listing with someone, might as well be you.

Expired listings are another great source. You not only know these folks want to sell, they've been trying, all they need now is a good Realtor who will tell them what they need to know about their house instead of what they want to hear.

There are tons of books out there, both at the public library, bookstores, and Amazon.com about how to work FSBOs and expireds. Get a couple, read them, and go to work.
