Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our twentyfirst week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
" to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
(Be sure and click on the links in blue.)
In our alphabetical trips across America, "C" is the letter this week. Let's "C" what I can find in California, for the 2ND WEEK!
I found a brand new ActiveRain member, who just happens to know quite a bit about wine country in California. Welcome Mark Stornetta and let him tell you why he knows the Napa Valley and wine country!
Let's visit San Franciso, shall we? Jim Patton had a fun post for taking a trip "West" when the weather got too hot back in September...something we won't be seeing for awhile for most of us! A day trip to the "city" that Jim takes us on....
Myrl Jeffcoat ALWAYS gives me plenty to showcase with her travel blogs. Something you don't get to see (sea?) every day....today, it's the Monterey Bay Aquarium!
Because William Johnson, in San Diego, is an ActiveRain icon as well as a very accomplished photographer, it was fitting to include him here, but I decided to include TWO of his photos, as one is just too good not to share,
the other ZOOMS in on the statue in the statue to the right in first photo and explains what it is and a bit of history about it. Called The Kiss...read on....
Please don't forget to comment on these blogposts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
