Week One 29th Annual Holiday On Main St  Middletown, CT, is this Friday & Saturday, and Middletown will kick off the 29th Annual Holiday On Main St.  This will be the first of four weekends of events leading up to Christmas week.  This first weekend will be two days of events, and the themes are Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree and Jingle Bells.  Each weekend will have its own theme and will be packed full of activities.  Below is the schedule for both Friday and Saturday.

 

Friday, November 28th

 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

  •  All Aboard for Amato’s Toy & Hobby 4rd annual Holiday Train Exhibit

2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Open House at the Mansfield House

 4:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.

 Free Hayrides along Main Street.

4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • Middletown High School Crew Team selling Hot Chocolate, Coffee & Desserts, in front of the Church of the Holy Trinity!

 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • The Kiwanis Club of Middletown will be selling Popcorn & Hot Pretzels.
  • Holiday Music by Harvest Woods Audio

4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 

  • St. Mary’s Church Boy Scouts Troop 41 will sell Hot Chocolate near the Veterans Memorial Gazebo on the South Green!

4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • Middletown High School Crew Team selling Hot Chocolate, Coffee & Desserts. 

4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • Middletown Human Rights Commission Food Drive – Collecting Non-perishable food items for the Holy Trinity Church to benefit the Amazing Grace Food Pantry.

 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 

  • St. Mary’s Church Boy Scouts Troop 41 will sell Hot Chocolate, Coffee & Donuts, as well as wreaths by the Veterans Memorial Gazebo on the South Green.

5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

  • Middletown Area Transit - Holiday Bus free shuttle service to the South Green from Middlesex Chamber.

 5:00 p.m.

  •  Carol Sing with Middletown High School Chorus, Woodrow Wilson 7th & 8th Grade Chorus, and Keigwin School 6th Grade Chorus.

5:00 p.m. 

  • Oddfellows Playhouse & ArtFarm Performers from Circophony’s “Circus on the High Seas” will be on the South Green

5:50 p.m. 

  • Curious George arrives on the Hay Rides with 3rd grade Middletown students

6:00 p.m.

  • Santa arrives by Horse & Carriage for the Tree Lighting on the South Green.

6:10 - 6:15 p.m.

  • Santa Claus will turn on the lights on the big tree on the South Green!
  • Lighting of the Tree of Lights in the Veterans Memorial Gazebo on the South Green. 

6:30 p.m. 

  • Parade up Main Street to the where Santa  will turn on the Lights  on the Tree on the Chamber Roof.
  • Free Pictures With Santa.
  • Free Horse & Carriage Rides and Hayrides until 8:00 p.m.

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • All Aboard for Amato’s Toy & Hobby 4rd annual Holiday Train Exhibit.

8:15 p.m. 

  • 7th. Annual Tree Lighting in front of Eli Cannon's Tap Room, 695 Main Street, where Santa will arrive on his sleigh to light the tree.  Elves will be on the sidewalk with Popcorn, Cookies, Hot Chocolate and Treats for the Kids!

 

Saturday, November 29th

9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

10:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m.

  •  Photos with Santa at the Middlesex YMCA on 99 Union St.

10:30 a.m – 2:30 p.m.

  • The Civitan Club of Middletown will be selling Popcorn & Hot Pretzel.
  • Holiday Music by Harvest Woods Audio.

10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

  • The Fun Train will offer free rides on the sidewalk around the downtown throughout the day!

10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

  • Greet Sana and Free Hayrides

 10:30 a.m – 2:30 p.m. 

  • Free rides for children & adults on two mechanical animals, Lucy the Polar Bear, and Jake the Christmas Tiger.

11:30 a.m. – 12 noon 

  • Holiday Story Time with Curious George will be at The Inn At Middletown, 70 Main St.

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  •  All Aboard for Amato’s Toy & Hobby 4rd annual Holiday Train Exhibit

1:30 – 1:45 p.m. 

  • Kung Fu Demonstration by members of the Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy perform individual and group forms, weapons & bare hand and self defense.

That concludes all of the activities scheduled for Week One 29th Annual Holiday On Main St  Middletown, CT.  I will posts Week Two of the 29th Annual Holiday On Main St  Middletown, CT schedule next week with all of the activities for Saturday, December 6th.
