I have already admitted that I was a little concerned about how this Thanksgiving was going to go.

Now it's nearly over and I have to say that it was a great day.

Yes, there was a very important piece missing.

My family rallied and we made a very beautiful day for ourselves full of food and laughter and love.

It's rare that I get both of my boys home at the same time, today, it was a rare day.

By the time the dishes were being loaded into the dishwasher, almost no one could keep their eyes open.

I hope you all had a wonderful day and enjoy some much needed time off to re-connect with family.  Happy Thanksgiving!

I don't know about you but I'll be glad when the 30 in 30 November Challenge is over!

Yes, me too.  and ME too.  My day was wonderful and today's post wasn't what it should have been.  If it had waited until tomorrow when I was rested it would have been better.

Good morning Jenna. It is always a strange how long everything takes to prepare and how quickly we finish the meal. I seemed like clean up took longer than the mean as well, but a delight to have everyone at our table.

 Good morning Jenna. We all made the decision to go out to a local restaurant and gorge ourselves. It's kind of nice to be able to eat all you want and leave the mess to somebody else to clean up.

Looks like everyone had a great day and ate their fill!  And yes, the prep and the clean up takes longer than the dinner but it's so worth it and they leftovers were great!

One thing I remember about Thanksgiving is: food coma. Even I tried small portions, but together it seems turned me off for the rest of the day...:)
