5th Annual Colorado Give Day: 12/9/14

Community First Foundation and FirstBank partner to "host" Colorado Gives Day. This is a statewide event to encourage giving to non-profit agencies and organizations. It's a 24 hour, non-stop opportunity to support the charities that are meaningful to you. We have several non-profit organizations that we support. In each case, we have a special reason to get involved.

Alzheimer's Association

My paternal grandmother had Alzheimer's disease. She was living in Florida and I was in Colorado. I felt powerless to do anything to help her until I learned about the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. I decided that by helping to raise awareness and monies in Colorado, I was still helping to end the disease. We began volunteering our time and donating our monies in 1999. 

Our Community

We are also passionate about supporting our LOCAL non-profit organizations that provide services for our community. We are involved in organizations that support those less fortunate and more specifically the elderly. 

We also donate food items to the Parker Task Force and Southeast Community Outreach (SECOR) food banks. This year we are participating with our Rotary club to purchase Christmas gifts for families who rely on SECOR to help the through their difficult times.

There are several ways to "give". You can visit your choice of non-profits in person, or online. You can donate, fundraiser or volunteer. OR you can go to the Colorado Gives website and visit multiple agencies and get all of your questions answered!
