Where to Find U-Cut Christmas Trees in Washington County

Thanksgiving was the kick-off to the Holidays and Christmas is right around the corner.

It's that time of year again .  .  . time to think about decking the halls.

Which means going into the garage, getting out the snow shoes,  hone the axe then jump into the wagon with the kids.

It's time to do the "Griswold Family"  trek out into the back country to find "the perfect" U-Cut Christmas Tree.

Clark: We're kicking off our fun old fashion family Christmas by heading out into the country in the old front-wheel drive sleigh to embrace the frosty majesty of the winter landscape and select that most important of Christmas symbols.
Audrey: We're not coming all the way out here just to get one of those stupid ties with Santa Clauses on it are we?
Clark: No, I have one of those at home.

However, if you'd like to skip the Griswold Family adventure, here's where to find U-Cut Christmas Trees in Beaverton

Love the griswold quote. That is one of my favorite holiday movies!  I love the idea of cutting my own tree but haven't done it for many years

Carla,  this is very helpful information.  We are seeing lots of people heading down from the Rocky Mountains with their freshly cut Christmas trees out this way.

Hi Carla, I write a post like this every year and believe it or not it gets tremendous clicks. Then I follow up with where to dispose of your tree and that one even gets me calls.

How lucky.  No you cut douglas fir trees here.  They don't grow here.  But it's what I like so I buy one that has been shipped in and then trim it at the bottom just a bit so it will drink and then decorate.  Another couple of weeks before we do that though.

I used to love to cut down trees. Until the year that Tom drug me down the wet, muddy hill. Now, it's artificial all the way. For the whole experience cutting down a tree can be great fun.

Hi Carla - how fun to select and cut down your own tree. I did that with my parents when I was little.

Cara, when growing up we would always have a cut tree from the hill country mountains, but as I go older and moved to the city they became artificial. I personally like the real trees. Your community will love knowing where to find their live cut tree.

Carla, It's been many years since I have put up a Christmas tree let alone cut a free tree down.  When my son was younger it was a tradition and it was fun. Now, it just feels like more work (LOL)!  We know many will head out with their families and cut their trees down. You've provided a great resource for where they can cut trees in Washington County.

Carla,

That sounds like a lot of fun, I have an artificial tree..this is the first year I wrapped it up from last year. I love Christmas trees but putting up the ornaments are the one thing I do not like.

Carla - I love that movie and know all the quotes.  Hopefully, these are more controlled environments that also provide saws.

Thanks for the laugh Carla - just the mention of that scene plays the whole thing in my head, I love that movie.  I have cut down trees for Christmas a few times in my life & it's always been an enjoyable time.
