Thanks for the Challenge
I would like to thank Donna Foerster and the ActiveRain staff for putting together the "30 Posts in 30 Days" challenge. I did manage to meet the post-a-day requirement, and learned even more than just getting the extra bonus points that go along with meeting the challenge.
Coincidentially, the social media marketing seminar by Joe Petrowsky and Kyle Reyes was a few days after the challenge started. A tons of thoughts and ideas came out of the seminar about posting and blogging.
Being somewhat of a newbie to the world of posting, I was feeling overwhelmed after the seminar and had a lot of unorganized thoughts and understandings going into the challenge early on. Over the course of the month of November I think I have been able to sort through some of the principals and concepts behind posting and match things up with the topics that Joe and Kyle talked about. I think I certainly have a better understanding of content vs. context. I have a better understanding of what I need to do overall to improve my posts.
For me the challenge came along at just the right time. Finding appropriate topics will always be a challenge, but at least I have a better understanding of how to sort out topics and how to approach various topics and to make them relevant for the audience to whom they are provided. That to me is the number 1 key to being successful with posting / blogging.
Thanks Donna, Thanks ActiveRain!!
