The Greater Good Network-- Gift Giving that Gives Food to Shelters
Every morning, I answer an e-mail reminder to "click to give" a bowl of food free to an animal shelter, on The Animal Rescue Site.
One of the coolest things about this is that there is an online shopping "center" called The Greater Good Network where you can purchase items handmade from all over the world or USA made and with each (very reasonably priced) purchase, they donate free bowls of food to shelters!
This Christmas, do your shopping online for some amazing one-of-a-kind gifts for your animal-loving friends.
I bought these paw print boots for my hair stylist and she loves them! (I bought myself a pair, too)
With each purchase it tells you how many bowls of food you are funding. Plus, this is what they are ALSO doing when you purchase these:
Buy a Pair, Give a Pair! For every pair sold, we will donate another pair of shoes through Soles4Souls, a nonprofit organization giving shoes to those in need both in the U.S. and abroad!
Not only are you giving back by feeding animals who are housed in shelters, but you are also possibly supporting artisans who work for very little to support their families in poor countries.
Today is "Giving Tuesday" and these are two suggestions for how to support this wonderful network:
The Greater Good Network represents other groups, too. The RainForest, Breast Cancer, Hunger, Autism, Veterans and more.
It's a very easy site to navigate through and there is truly something for everyone this holiday season!
And thank you, Belinda Spillman and Roger Mucci for this wonderful contest!
