Utah Man's Random Act of Kindness

By now many have heard/read about the Utah man who won the Olive Gardens never ending pasta bowl offer.  It is estimated that he has fed more than 120 people,  and of that number a lot of them were homeless.

He opted in to the $100 for 7 weeks of pasta.  Unlimited past dishes.  Instead of eating the unlimited past himself he thought of helping others.

No good intention ever goes with out some criticism.  Unfortunately, some people accused the donor and Olive Garden as planning a publicity stunt. Asking if it was truly a random act of kindness or something else.

One thing I know.  This man bought the pass.  He abide by the rules and he chose to feed people who could use some help.  Why can't people take this for face value and appreciate the kindness behind it.    One item he noted was that not one person was mad he bought/brought them Olive Garden to eat.

I think its fantastic and I wish more people would do random acts of kindness like this.

Love this story.

You can read one of the many version out there on USA Today.

I hadn't heard about this, but it sounds like a truly good samaritan and a very kind act.

Kim- I came over from Pat Kennedy's weekly post.  I love this story because these are the acts that restores our faith in mankind.  Too bad some people have to be so cynical.

Yes, this is a great story, and it's sad that people can't just enjoy that there is some good in the world.

What a great story! Who cares if it was a publicity stunt?  Either way a lot of people got a good hot meal.

I like to think it was a random act of kindness.
